A Thanksgiving Story... by Ty Raines

The story begins... "Thanksgiving morning came quick and Ashlyn was very hungry... so hungry that she couldn't wait till noon. Too bad Mommy and Daddy forgot to get a turkey...." said Ty.

Mommy... what's going to be the main dish for the Thanksgiving meal?

Mommy's response... "I'm not sure." Why don't you get cleaned up and come back down when you are ready.

- 30 minutes passes -

Ashlyn comes back down. "Mommy is there anything that I can help you with?" said Ashlyn.

Mommy's response... "Why yes... yes there is!"

Ty spends a few hours outside before the meal seeing if he can work up an appetite. He asks Mommy..." Where is Ashlyn and how come she is not outside?"

Mommy's response... "She didn't feel like coming outside... you could say that she was a little stuffed."

- Rewind the story to when Ashlyn comes down after her bath -

Hey Mommy, what is for dinner? said Ashlyn.

"Liver, broccoli, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey,... " said Mommy.

- Ashlyn approaches her main man.-

"Hey Zeke... I have a deal for you... This is what I can do!" said Ashlyn

Ashlyn continues, "I'm not sure if I can get you that leg on the turkey, but I have something a little better... something that tastes so good, that I would feel guilty if I didn't let you have it."

Zeke's response... "Really, Ashlyn, that's great, you are a great owner. So what am I going to get?"

Ashlyn's response... "some broccoli, and ..."
