Daddy, told us Great Grandpa wasn't feeling to well and that he could use some cheering up.

Since we have never seen our Great Grandpa, my Daddy's - Daddy's Daddy, we couldn't let this opportunity slip by and not cheer him up. We flew down to Stuart, Florida and spent two days with him. We read to him, helped feed him some yummy Wendy's Frosty's, prayed for him and sang to him. We even told him how much we loved him.

I think it worked... I think we cheered him up!

(We will leave you with a song that really cheered up our Great Grandfather)

So if we drive to Stuart, Florida, that will be about 1400 miles. If we average 65 miles per hour, stop every 4 hours for about 1/2 hour break, adding breakfast, lunch, dinner... that would 22 hours + 9 hours... carry my one, let's just say about a day and a half.

Yikes!

Ashlyn speaking: "Or Ty, you could fly.... "

Ty's reply, "What? I'm not a birdy... I don't have wings."

Ashlyn again, "Ty if I can mount myself on your back. It would only add 2 hours to our flight schedule.... I think you can handle that."

Ashlyn speaking: "Ty, we are just kidding. We will take a plane."

Ty saying, "Whew... that's much better."

Ty, before we see Great Grandpa, I think we should get a gift. We should get something to help cheer him up. I'm thinking something along the lines of a seashell.

Ty replying, "Well I was thinking something much bigger.... here birdy, birdy"

Ashlyn saying, "Ty, I think you have lost it! Anyway, I have a seashell."

Ty's reply, "Then that's it... we are off to see Great Grandpa!"

Ashlyn hanging out and singing to Great Grandpa.

Ty trying to see if his hands are bigger than Great Grandpa's.

While we were down in Florida, Mommy also had a big day. She told me that she also turned the big 3. I thought she looked older than 3, but what do I know.

Ty and I decided to be on our best behavior and take her out for some good old Italian food.

Ty... Ty... where are you?

I see the highchair, but where is Ty?

Oh, great. On the floor already and no shoes on!

What a meal! Perfecto, saporito!

I don't know if it is just me or not... but I think I see Great Grandpa smiling at me.

Oh yea, I think he is smiling. Isn't Great Grandpa such a handsome man!

That was a lot of fun. Ty and I had a great time visiting with you Great Grandpa. We can't wait to see you again when you are no longer sick!

This morning, our Great Grandpa went home to be with Jesus. We had a beautiful time with you Great Grandpa.
